What a Weekend!

Yes, it's taken me until Tuesday evening to even begin to tell you about the weekend, but what a weekend it was! We kicked it off with our first wedding of the year, welcoming our new friend Molly of Cooking With Caitlin and her new hubby Todd to the Inn.

Friday night was a big informal Tex-Mex buffet, Chef Brad's specialty, and Saturday afternoon the happy couple beared the TORRENTIAL rains with a sense of humor and wed with their entire family shoulder-to-shoulder under a tiny tent on the deck. The weather broke a little bit during a huge five course wedding feast and the party continuted, just slightly soggily, into the night. A big congrats to Molly and Todd! We love being part of the memory of your special day!

As soon as the wedding party left on Sunday, it was time for our annual Easter Brunch, and since then we've been catching up on sleep and getting the Inn back in tip-top shape! Whew! A great time had by all, and I have to say, it's kind of sad going from such a break-neck speed to quietly chopping and slicing, to filing and e-mailing again. Until the next holiday, I suppose!

Sherry and Darryl have had their own adventures as well, and Sherry has this to say about them:
"Darryl and I had a great date this past Thursday. Sharon Butler of Bonbonarie hosted a 'Memory Dinner' with Polly Campbell Cooking.
The Tea Room was the venue and Polly was the chef. Yumm! The dinner was like being at home but better. The guests were caring and sharing their memories of food and family. Polly's familyillustrious family was made dear to us through her delicious food and stories of time not to be forgotten.
What a time we had! Delicious, swet, interesting, warm - adjectives, adjectives. The kind of transcendent experience only food and friends can awake. Can't wait to enjoy another evening at The Tea Room!"
